My name is John Taylor and I draw custom caricature portraits and editorial cartoons.

For over thirty years I have created caricatures and editorial cartoons for publication in newspapers and magazines.

My early inspiration came from watching caricature artists sketch people in theme parks. Over the years, my style has changed from a “quick sketch” style to a highly detailed rendering of the subject. I patiently infuse each caricature and cartoon with characteristic humor and individuality.

Pencil and pen & ink are my preferred mediums. I also colorize caricatures and cartoons using Photoshop.

I have specialized in creating jazz musician caricatures and am now offering more categories, including individual, family and group caricatures.
